I.R.E. was founded in 1994; starting with the manufacture of traditional cemented and enamelled wire wound resistors and shunts, it soon distinguished itself for the high quality
of products, service and technical support offered to its customers.

Shortly afterwards I.R.E. started investing in laboratory equipment in order to sustain a continuous process of Research & Development. This ability to grow and innovate made it possible to add to the catalogue metallic box and aluminium housed resistors, which have achieved success as braking resistors, combining high thermophysical features with an extremely competitive price. Particularly in the lift and crane industry I.R.E. has developed over the years a deep know-how and a wide range of specialized and customized products for any environmental condition, from indoor to sea front applications.
